You are purchasing an absolutely mint pharmacy / drug store display from Parke, Davis & Co.
This colorful picture display salutes the achievement of a Swedish apothecary-chemist and his discoveries...especially oxygen. The self-framed picture is constructed of a quality thick card board and has a built-in easel on back for displaying. The picture can also be easily framed (my choice). Perfect color throughout - no fading - glare due to photo. Measures approx. 21" long x 17.75" wide. Dates to the 1950's to early 1960's. Looks better in person! Stunning!

Offered is a wonderful 1950-1960 vintage, hanging “WHITE SEAL Whiskey” glass advertising sign. A Striking image of a seal balancing a red ball on its nose! All lettering and detailing are etched into the glass and then painted to add visual appeal to this advertisement. The blue area is actually mirrored glass with a beveled edge. The dark portions appearing in the right upper region are reflections of some tree leaves- not damage or discoloration.
The sign measures just over 10 inches in diameter and is complete with its original chain hangar. The truly makes a vibrant display which is much better appreciated "in person" than in the provided photos. Some minor paint loss is present as seen in the pictures, but this does not distract from the appearance of this very nice collectible.
The small print on the bottom reads: Blended Whiskey 86.6 PROOF Grain Neutral Spirits - Carstairs Bros. Dist. CO. Inc., Baltimore, MD.

A fabulous, vintage school teaching tool from the 19th Century! A red and gold painted wooden Alphabet or Spelling Board! Measuring 13.25 inches wide x 9.25 inches high x 1 inch thick, this wonderful piece patented February 16, 1886, is in very fine condition with a warm, rich patina and color as well as all 56 of its original wooden letters! To spell a word, one slides the letters along cut out tracks in the board. Quite visually appealing! Condition: three of the 1/8th inch thick, round, wooden letters suffered partial breakage at one point in time, but these letters continue to remain quite structurally sound and "readable". Some tiny edge chips to the wood- quite reasonable given its age. A seldom found vintage, early School House item!

All six pages of this extremely rare, 1941, soft cover, Little Black Sambo book published by the Samuel Lowe Company of Kenosha, Wisconsin, have been photographed for one’s viewing pleasure! In utterly excellent condition with the only flaw noted being very subtle wear around the two binder holes, this version of Little Black Sambo is seldom found on today’s market given the delicate nature of its thick paper pages. This particular edition was obviously never used and sat for all of its years, untouched in a desk drawer! The illustrations executed by Margot Voigt are superb with brilliant coloration! A must have edition for the collector of Little Black Sambo books, unlikely to be found again in this outstanding condition!

Offered is a circa 1950s, Bausch & Lomb Optical Company Advertisement. It features a wonderfully colored and detailed image of Antonie Philips van Leeuwenhoek (October 24, 1632 – August 30, 1723) who was a Dutch tradesman and scientist from Delft, the Netherlands, and who today is commonly known as "the Father of Microbiology", and is considered to be the first microbiologist. The advertisement states: "A most significant event was the discovery of bacteria in 1675 by Antoni van Leeuwehhoek who used a primitive microscope of his own manufacture." Thus, the connection to Bausch & Lomb Optical of Rochester, New York! van Leeuwenhoek is best known for his work on the improvement of the microscope and for his contributions towards the establishment of microbiology. Using his handcrafted microscopes, he was the first to observe and describe single-celled organisms, which he originally referred to as animalcules, and which we today refer to as microorganisms. He was also the first to record microscopic observations of muscle fibers, bacteria, spermatozoa and blood flow in capillaries. During his lifetime, van Leeuwenhoek ground over 500 optical lenses, and created over 400 different types of microscopes. This 1950's advertisement is framed in a vintage, circa 1910, beautifully grain-painted, plaster-on-wood frame measuring 18 inches wide x 23 1/2 inches long. The frame has numerous small chips and abrasions but remains sturdy and is handsome despite its difficulties. The piece is backed with cardboard. The print itself was subject to water at one point and has evidence of water marks on the bottom as seen in the photos. There is a superficial, inverted "V" shaped scratch in the center (again, see photos) and a rub to the left of the female's head (see photos). A striking piece of advertising!!

Measuring 9 inches in diameter and 2.75 inches high, this gorgeous, Ohio-made, yellowware fruit bowl features fabulous blue sponging with gold gilt highlights along its decoratively embossed and scalloped rim. The bowl has glaze crazing typical of an 85+ year old piece of pottery. An extremely tight hairline on one side of the bowl has been photographed for one’s perusal. It does not affect structural integrity, and the pricing of the bowl reflects this imperfection. No other flaws! An outstanding piece of American Spongeware! Becoming much more difficult to find- particularly in this condition!
