Mid-19th century age is an approximation based on clothing style as well as decorative art in photo and style of double case.

Measuring 4 inches high with a 3.75 inch base diameter, this authentic looking 1919 Patent model of the historic Philadelphia Liberty Bell, is in wonderful all-original condition!

Given away as a premium for opening a bank account, this still bank advertises the Mechanics Savings Bank of Hartford, Connecticut.

The bank is complete with the famous Liberty Bell crack down its front as well as this slogan etched around its top, "Proclaim Liberty Throughout All the Land Unto All The Inhabitants Thereof. LEV XXV 10".

Manufactured by the Bankers S & C System Company, Cleveland, Ohio, this bank bears a patent date of February 18, 1919, as inscribed on its base.

This artisan-made, vintage 1950s, utterly delightful, little Black Boy Hand Puppet is in wonderful, minimally-played-with condition!

This sweet little pop-eyed character was recently acquired from the artist's daughter who stated that her mother made the puppet for her in the late 1950's.

With hands and head constructed of papier mache and a machine-stitched cotton body, this 10.50 inch long puppet sat for years in a doll cabinet seeing minimal childhood play. The body is very lightly soiled from dust with some seam separation at each shoulder (see photo). The hands and head have acquired a bit of a crackled look due to age; however, there are no flakes or missing pieces.

He has a darling "look" and would make a whimsical addition to one's folk art, puppet or doll collection. This hand-made piece is a truly one-of-a-kind creation!

The inhalation of medicinal vapors was common practice during the late 19th and early 20th century. Inhaling devices came in many shapes and forms. This very decorative and functional inhaler was very popular during that period.

This lovely, late-Victorian-styled inhaler is primarily being sold for its original box. The box is complete and very detailed on all sides (including the top), sporting wonderful graphics and information on its many merits. The box measures 6.5" H x 4" W x 3.25" D and shows only mild wear and faint staining. Finding a complete box in this condition is quite uncommon.

The lamp is not complete and is minus its chimney and top medicinal pan.

The advertising says it all - great graphic and lung specific. The last patent date noted on the box is 1899, and the first patent date is stamped on the lamp as being Ag. (August) 4, 1885.

Offered is a rarely found, extremely colorful, copyright 1935 by the Pepsodent Company, promotional lithograph map of Weber City- Amos n Andy's hometown-, complete with Amos n Andy Pepsodent promo letter, envelope, and one original copy of 1930 copyright "Check and Double Check" Amos n Andy sheet music.

Pepsodent product users would collect box tops and along with a small sum for shipping, would mail all into the Pepsodent Company in return for Amos n Andy's "Eagle's Eye View of Weber City, Inc." lithograph map!

The litho itself is just extraordinary---very brightly colored, original and mint condition, measuring 20 inches wide x 15 inches long. No rips, bends, or creases. This has been stored for years inside two clear plastic bag-type casings using a 16" x 20" art canvas for support. The litho is not attached to the canvas. The original fold creases which occurred when the litho was first mailed out in the 1930s remain. This litho would be absolutely fabulous framed given all of its bright, visually-striking detailing!

Also included are the Amos n Andy mailing envelope and promo letter from them that accompanied the litho asking their fans to buy Pepsodent products. The aforementioned, 9 x 12 inch, complete, all original, Amos n Andy sheet music package additionally comes with this offering. The cover features a fabulous, visually-appealing graphic of Amos n Andy and their dog that also would look wonderful framed right beside this fabulous litho!

All pieces are in absolutely amazing condition! I have not seen this litho before in my many years collecting and selling Black Americana. Its scarcity and superb condition make this offering a Black Memorabilia must-have!

Please note: some photos show shadows. These are a function of lighting conditions and NOT any discrepancy in lithograph coloring.

Offered are three, VERY RARELY found, 1890's, Black Memorabilia-themed trade cards priced at $60.00 each or 2 for $110.00.

The CZAR Baking Powder card is SOLD. It was printed by the Empire Lithography Company, Pearl Street, New York, and is so marked at the bottom of the front side. This card is brilliantly colored with a phenomenal graphic of a Mammy and her son admiring an utterly huge loaf of bread which presumably owes its immense size to CZAR Baking Powder. The reverse side carries a testimony by a Yale College professor attesting to the wonder of the CZAR product which is manufactured by Steele and Emery Company of New Haven, Connecticut. The card measures 3 inches x 4.75 inches.

The MISFIT Clothing Company card is copyrighted 1898 by J.H. Bufford Company in the lower right front corner. In the upper left corner, the card is entitled "In the Land of Cotton" and features a wonderfully detailed scene of African-American families working the cotton fields with a large cotton gin looming in the background. The card measures 2.75 inches x 4.50 inches. The reverse side is an advertisement for Misfit Clothing sold by the J. Bamott & Company of Washington Street, Boston.

The Welcome Soap advertising card also measures 2.75 inches x 4.50 inches and is entitled "Photography Under a Cloud". It features a fabulous litho of 5 African-American boys with exaggerated facial features who are attempting to take a photograph using an early camera. The litho is marked in the lower right corner "Bufford, Boston". The reverse side further advertises WELCOME SOAP and features two shaking hands.

All three trade cards are in very fine condition with nice color and some very subtle evidence of age staining as seen in photos. The cards have no rips, bends, or fading. The back sides of the Czar card and the MISFIT CLOTHING card have glue stains.

These rare trade cards would be stunning matted and framed as a group!

As each is priced separately (see photos for pricing), please email us stating which item you wish to purchase so that we can customize your order form.

Measuring approximately 4.5 x 6.5 inches, this 1897 copyright souvenir postcard folder is entitled, "Souvenir Folder of Dixieland, Containing Typical Scenes". It was printed by F.L. Howe of Atlanta, Georgia.

The folder was mailed, but remains in fine condition given its age. Some edge wear evident at corners. While some photos may appear a bit blurry, this is a function of photography and not condition. All postcards are crisp and clear!

The Real Photo postcard folder features the lyrics and music of "Dixieland" and 18 full color scenes of the industries common in the South during this period: cotton picking and production, tapping pine trees for turpentine production, watermelon farming, and sugarcaning. Of cultural and historical interest are the numerous scenes of African-American life including less-flattering stereotypical scenes. Some very politically incorrect and derogatory captioning including use of "dialect".

*****NOTE...ITEM ON EBAY # 153315867781*****

Offered is a scarce, Civil War era, clear glass, hand-blown apothecary bottle sporting an appealing label under glass label that is marked 'SPIR. AETH. NIT.'. The pontilled base, ground glass stopper, and stunning gold gilt label make this bottle very desirable!

The condition of this 10 inch tall bottle is excellent. The label has a few tiny edge flecks, a small chip on the lower right hand corner, and an unobtrusive, top-to-bottom crack on the right side that runs through the letter 'T'. As seen in the photos, the label appears very nice visually, despite what I would consider minimal damage.

An early bottle that displays beautifully!
