Offered for consideration, is a wonderful and rarely found, 19th century American "DENTIST" sign in brass measuring 12 3/4ths inches wide x 7 inches high.

The sign advertises the office of "James H. Groom. Dentist.", and remains in fine condition with deep-toned, original patina and with some very minor warping due to its many years of age. The lettering is actually impressed into the surface and is painted black. Any white marks appearing on the front of the sign are due only to light/sun reflection---the sign has a very even-toned coloration.

The sign has a hole at each corner to facilitate hanging, or it may be easily displayed upon a shelf!

A fabulous , rich-looking display piece with great "eye appeal"!

Unique, vintage dental items are becoming increasingly scarce. This graphically interesting, turn-of-the-century, apothecary bottle measures 6.5" tall and 2.5" wide and is embossed on the bottom, "M.B.W. - 22 - Millville". It features a visually-appealing, celluloid label on front marked - "FELLOWSHIP" ALLOY - with a graphic, shield-shaped label on back. Quite distinctive!

The condition is very nice throughout with no damage to the bottle. The labels are somewhat stained and faded although this is commensurate with both age and use. The interior has some old unobtrusive residue.

Some History: In 1897, "Fellowship" was the first tested alloy ever put on the market. According to both their own advertisements as well as a Scottish Dental Society of the day, the product was often copied and cited by competitors but never equaled in quality and reliability!
