Another delightful example of an Olde School House collectible-a tiny metal Student Merit Award Pin which is designed in the shape of a circular olive branch crown with the word "REWARD" on a blue enameled open textbook and the date "1924" inscribed on a white enameled scroll. Items such as this were given to worthy students by their appreciative school teachers at the end of a term for a variety of reasons not the least of which were scholarship, attendance, and deportment. This sweet little pin is in excellent, all original condition retaining its original and quite functional clasp! It measures 1/2 inch in diameter. A darling little addition to one's Olde School House Collection!

Offered is a wonderful 1950-1960 vintage, hanging “WHITE SEAL Whiskey” glass advertising sign. A Striking image of a seal balancing a red ball on its nose! All lettering and detailing are etched into the glass and then painted to add visual appeal to this advertisement. The blue area is actually mirrored glass with a beveled edge. The dark portions appearing in the right upper region are reflections of some tree leaves- not damage or discoloration.
The sign measures just over 10 inches in diameter and is complete with its original chain hangar. The truly makes a vibrant display which is much better appreciated "in person" than in the provided photos. Some minor paint loss is present as seen in the pictures, but this does not distract from the appearance of this very nice collectible.
The small print on the bottom reads: Blended Whiskey 86.6 PROOF Grain Neutral Spirits - Carstairs Bros. Dist. CO. Inc., Baltimore, MD.

Measuring 15.75 inches long by 4 inches in height, this metal, circa 1930s, brown and yellow, French advertising sign reads: "Defense de Fumer..sans Microphosphate Schloesing." Translated to English, it literally means "No Smoking without Schloesing Microphosphate", clearly an advertisement for a chemical product made by the Schloesing Company. Certainly a conversation piece in very good condition with the expected mild and non-substantial wear here and there to the painted surface. The sign has 4 small holes at each corner for easy mounting.
