Measuring a phenomenal 10 inches high x 5.75 inches wide, this exceptional antique school bell is quite heavy--the bell itself may very well be made of bronze versus the typical brass due to the its significant weight. The bell is in wonderful condition as the photos attest complete with untouched patina, heavy clanger, and a fabulous hefty wooden handle! The bell rings with an extraordinarily deep resonance which surely was heard by even the most distant schoolchild! This piece will surely be the cornerstone of one's vintage olde school house collection!

Measuring 7.5 inches high x 7.50 inches wide x 3.50 inches high, this all-original, new-old-stock, cardboard display box for Whittemore’s Oil Paste Shoe Shine Polish of Cambridge, Massachusetts, is complete with all 12 of its original polish tins! It is presumed that all tins still contain polish--they are all closed too tightly to easily open for an inspection! That will be left to the new owner! Interesting and extremely eye-catching graphics on both box and tins! Displays just wonderfully! The cardboard box has some expected wear as seen in photos with small rips and abrasions, but it retains its structural integrity- still able to support the weight of twelve metal polish tins! The majority of the tins are in very, very nice condition as well with expected, slight superficial scratches here and there. Three of the twelve tins have a bit more surface wear to their lids than the others and are pictured as a trio for the buyer’s perusal---still very appealing. A very difficult to find vintage country store display piece!

Measuring 4.25 x 4 x 1 inches, this all original cardboard display contains 24, full, bakelite capsules or tubes of EVERSHARPE RED TOP pencil-lead! Interestingly, this display was found among the contents of an old North Carolina country store. This product was made in the 1940's in the USA with tubes originally selling for 15 cents per tube. Each bakelite capsule or tube contains 45 sticks of "Q-15 Soft Standard" pieces of pencil-lead. As seen in the photos, the red caps of the bakelite containers are brittle from age and are in varying states of "wholeness"--some intact and some not. An interesting and unusual item to add to one's advertising or olde school collection!

Measuring 13.5 inches wide x 12.5 inches deep x 11 inches high, this fabulous 1880's, New York State, wooden egg crate is truly unique in that in addition to the egg crate manufacturer, it also advertises a local clothier! Advertised are: "Farmer's Friend, Manufactured by WANCY EGG CARRIER, Patented Oct. 1888, Fort Plain, NY" and "Zielley & Tunncliff, The Leading Clothiers and Gents Furnishers, Fort Plain, NY". Graphic labeling is dark and clear! Displays wonderfully!!! The crate remains quite sturdy in construction and also retains its original handle and its original lid which will fall into the crate if the crate interior is not stuffed, or alternately, one may "kiddy-corner" the lid on top of the crate where it will rest quite nicely for display. A neat old advertising piece!!

Actual size of the sepia toned photo is 8 x 5 inches. The subjects are posed on the stairs in front of the schoolhouse porch or veranda. The ten young gentlemen in the front row, while quite fashionably attired, don’t appeared to be very enthusiastic about their participation in this photography session! Look at those faces! Condition is wonderful- no rips or creases. The full view photo appears faded or lighter on the right hand side, but this is camera flash glare only- tones/coloration are uniform throughout as seen in close-up photo.
A delightful and early schoolhouse collectible!
