Offered is a wonderful 1950-1960 vintage, hanging “WHITE SEAL Whiskey” glass advertising sign. A Striking image of a seal balancing a red ball on its nose! All lettering and detailing are etched into the glass and then painted to add visual appeal to this advertisement. The blue area is actually mirrored glass with a beveled edge. The dark portions appearing in the right upper region are reflections of some tree leaves- not damage or discoloration.
The sign measures just over 10 inches in diameter and is complete with its original chain hangar. The truly makes a vibrant display which is much better appreciated "in person" than in the provided photos. Some minor paint loss is present as seen in the pictures, but this does not distract from the appearance of this very nice collectible.
The small print on the bottom reads: Blended Whiskey 86.6 PROOF Grain Neutral Spirits - Carstairs Bros. Dist. CO. Inc., Baltimore, MD.
