The crate remains quite sturdy in construction and also retains its original handle and its original lid which will fall into the crate if the crate interior is not stuffed, or alternately, one may "kiddy-corner" the lid on top of the crate where it will rest quite nicely for display.

The condition is very good with mild crackling and wear of a painted wood surface dating to the 1940-1950 era. Ready to be displayed in your collection!
