For those of you looking for a vintage, optically-appealing, DOUBLE Eye Chart, your search is over! On one side is found a standard eye chart and on the other is a RARELY found Kindergarten Eye Test Chart featuring colorful symbols and graphics. The two charts are actually two separate charts produced by two separate companies that were framed together for ease of use.

Constructed of very heavy cardboard, this framed, double, eye chart measures 24 inches long x 13 inches wide. It remains in good overall condition. There are various imperfections such as minor stains and wrinkles (see photos) which do not at all detract from the great visual appeal of the chart. A few 1/2 inch, unobtrusive, edge tears along with old, brown, moisture stains are noted on the Kindergarten Eye Test chart.

The Kindergarten chart is marked 'American Optical' on the bottom and 'A O Kindergarten Test Chart' on the top.

The standard eye chart is marked 'CC.' at the top and 'Wall & Ochs Opticians, 1716, Chestnut Street, Phila'.

Incredible graphics say it all for this highly unique, female medicine bottle, BonKora, dating from the 1930s - 1940s era.

The bottle measures nearly 7.5 inches high and is complete with original contents. The condition of the bottle is very nice with only minor staining next to the letters in the word, BONKORA. Although the box is damaged, it displays well as it retains the image of the nude female- an interesting conversation piece!

A bit of history: BONKORA was actually advertised as a weight loss treatment in print advertising, although this usage is not stated on the box. With sales in decline in the late 1930s, the BONKORA manufacturer attempted to make their product a bit more interesting by streamlining the original, bulkier silhouette in their advertising and adding a naked lady on the label. While a clever touch, the product’s popularity continued to wan – perhaps due to a combination of the economics of the Great Depression and the increased federal enforcement of earlier-legislated laws prohibiting unsubstantiated wild curative claims for any and all maladies.

Offered is a delightful 1940s era reverse painted pharmacy sign. This wood framed drug store sign measures 22.5 inches long x 14.5 inches wide.

Quite visually appealing, the sign is in very nice condition with minor paint loss with flaking on the left side. There is some lightening on the finish as well but it is not obtrusive. The photos actually enhance this effect which is much less obvious when viewed "in person". This paint issue on the left side is best appreciated in the last photo.

Eli Lilly was a proud manufacturer of proprietary medicines for over a century and often provided signage to drug store owners to both assist in promoting these local pharmacies as well as to advertise their own products.
