Offered is a bucolic and beautifully-colored, medium-folio, copyrighted 1854, Nathaniel Currier, New York, lithograph entitled, "Catching A Trout". The image measures approximately 10" x 14", and depicts a fancily-dressed African-American man "netting" the trout caught by one of the two well-dressed gentleman enjoying a relaxing day of fishing. This Currier + Ives lithograph is infrequently found, and is quite highly collectible.Condition of the litho is considered very good given the rich coloration that remains. Some minor wear does exist: 2 small tears measuring less than 1/2 inch each on either side border edge-- one in the trees on the right side and the other on the left side in the water. There are several teeny holes in the sky to the right of the bearded gentleman's fishing pole as well as one single hole in the black gentleman's hair. (Please see photos.) Some wear to the border at top as shown in photos. Despite the noted imperfections, this lithograph displays beautifully, with rich color and crisp lines. It presently resides in an early 1920's frame without glass; it requires appropriate re-framing with acid-free materials to continue to preserve its historic importance.

Presented is a visually-graphic, original, hand-painted sign promoting a proprietary medicine for sale at the local drugstore--- Paprocki Analgesic Balm. Dating to the 1930-1940 era, this advertisement would look fabulous matted and framed! The sign measures 22"L x 12"W and is constructed of a heavy poster board type material. There are various imperfections such as scuffs, pin holes, edge wear etc. but this is typical and expected for signage of this age. The size and graphics make this sign a winner!

Offered is an EXCEEDINGLY RARE, 19th century, oval, bent-wood oak-framed, child's school slate. This wonderful, double-sided slate measures 10.25 inches x 14.25 inches and is in fine condition. This type of slate was also made in a smaller size, but either size is very, very seldom found today as the majority of 19th century school slates that were produced were rectangular in shape! Close-up photos show the interesting wood frame seam as well as the hanging hole. Flecks of paint are evident here and there and are most concentrated in one corner on one side of the slate as shown in photos. This rare oval slate is truly a must-have for any serious collector of early school memorabilia!

Genuine Czech GLASS Mardi Gras necklaces or “beads” were produced exclusively in 1920’s and 1930’s Czechoslovakia, for use during the Pre-Lenten or Carnival celebrations of New Orleans, Louisiana. With the pre-World War II, German invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1939, Czech production of the glass necklaces was halted and was never again resumed.
70+ years later, these gorgeous Czech Glass Mardi Gras beads are not only highly collectible but are becoming more increasingly scarce with each passing year. Use of color, shape, and form vary from one necklace to the next, with no two necklaces exactly alike.
Measuring 17 1/2" in length, this necklace is constructed of a series of yellow and pale brown glass beads that accent 2 red ball-shaped beads placed to accent 3 larger, yellow, ball-shaped center beads. Striking color contrast! Attached is the ORIGINAL PAPER TAG reading “Made in Czechoslovakia”.
All Czech Mardi Gras necklaces were originally strung using a thin, cotton thread that has naturally aged and weakened over the past 70+ years, and thus, are easily prone to breakage. The new owner might wish to consider re-stringing these lovely beads as well as replacing the original, but functional, gold-toned C-clasp.
