Measuring 21.5” wide x 29.5” long, this beautiful, cotton baby’s crib quilt features 12 machine-stitched, black schoolhouses on a cream colored ground bordered by red banding. A highly sought after quilting pattern! The quilt backing is secured in place with red stitches; no batting appears to be in place between front and back quilt pieces. Maker’s stamp (??) appears at lower right back of quilt; wording is indiscernible.
Condition is wonderful with no holes, stains or tears! Newly acquired from a CT estate where the quilt had been in storage since the 1960's. |
