This darling miniature children’s toy doll bureau or chest features 18 tiny, individual, moving drawers that are constructed from early balsa wood match boxes! A delightful and whimsical Folk Art piece constructed in 1920’s Germany! Measuring only 5 inches high, 3 inches deep and 5 ¼ inches wide, the frame of this tiny chest is constructed of an unknown wood which was stained a dark hue. It sits on four tiny pegged legs. The knobs of the teeny match box drawers appear to be old shoe buttons! Condition of this sweet miniature toy is quite fine with no visible flaws- just a very rich, warm, aged patina! This enchanting miniature is sure to delight the collector of vintage Folk Art, Toys, or Doll House Furniture! |
