A extraordinarily RARE opportunity to acquire a circa 1950's, Mint-in-Box (MIB), Set of Guildcraft Children's painted wooden toy play figures featuring 6 Black gentleman representing the following occupations of the era: Physician, Crossing Guard (Policeman?), Construction Worker, Milkman, Mailman and Fireman! These mint condition figures were NEVER PLAYED WITH and remained packed away in their original box for the past 50 years! Produced by the Guildcraft Company Inc of Garnerville, New York (see photo of manufacturing stamp in the lower left corner of box cover). The six occupational figures measure approximately 5.50 inches tall and have painted backs as well as fronts! Also included is the original cardboard box which is stamped with both the manufacturer and the title "Community Workers Negro". A RARE find! Also offered separately is the wonderful, 1960’s Guildcraft “Black Family Group” Figures MINT in their original box! |
