This RARE and original, vintage 1920's, black and white advertising sign was hand-painted by a professional painter to be used as a sample piece - similar to an artist’s proof - in his advertising portfolio for review by potential business clients. Created for "Sommers Drug Store", the sign reads: "Full Line of Hospital & Cosmetic Supplies, Join Our Circulating Library, Films at Reduced Prices, We Deliver". The sign notes the address as "312 Bushwick Ave,Cor. McKibben St. ( New York City )". The sign, which is in wonderful condition, measures 8 x 8 inches square and was completed on black matte board. |
