Measuring 10.25 inches wide x 8 inches high, this wonderful, vintage 1932, Amos and Andy puzzle was given away by Pepsodent Toothpaste as a premium for buying the product! The puzzle features 3 other well-known Amos and Andy cohorts- King Fish, Lightin', and Brother Crawford- socializing at the O.K. Hotel! The puzzle is marked in the lower right hand corner, "Litho in USA, C 1932, Pepsodent Co.", and in the lower left corner, the puzzle is numbered "1319". The artist name also appears on the puzzle above the name "Andy" but is difficult to decipher. It seems to read "Ely Weaver". With its warm colors and delightfully up-beat and comical scene, this puzzle would look just fabulous matted and framed! |
