Offered is a skillfully hand-crafted, Civil War era, soldiers' crutch constructed entirely of wood.

The crutch measures approximately 46.5 inches in length x 8 inches wide at the arm support. The pole section or the leg of the crutch is about 43 inches long x 1.25 inches wide x 1 inch deep in dimension. It sports bench-made, skilled joinery as evidenced by the wooden pinned mortise and tenon joint. The bottom tip reveals a few worn nails embedded into it, likely to help reduce wear. The finish shows an all-original, warm patina as typically seen in other early wooden objects of similar age.

Overall, there is evidence of mild wear and tear, and the arm support joint is slightly loose- all commensurate with an antique object designed for this purpose and of this era.

A fine early medical example to add to your collection.

Offered are a scarcely-found group of three pharmacy ointment mill tube fillers that date to the circa 1910 - 1930s era. These tools-of-the-trade were typically found in compounding pharmacies. This particular grouping came from the estate of a pharmacist who first began practicing in the early 1900's.

The first example, as seen on the left, measures 3.5 inches and has a heavy brass base and an aluminum compression rod. There is a removable brass nozzle that screws into the base. This diminutive hand size mill would fill 1 to 2 ounce medication tubes and sports a nice patina. There are no markings seen and just minor superficial wear is evident.

The second mill, as seen on the right, measures 4 inches and has a one piece molded aluminum base and a brass compression rod. Perfect for filling smaller tubes, this example fits comfortably in one's hand. The condition is very good except for a small chip noted at the end of nozzle.

The third and final mill featured in the center of the primary photograph sports 3 legs and two removable brass nozzles. The nickel plating covers what appears to be brass, showing minimal wear only to the top of the feet. This unmarked 6.25 inch high beauty has all-original patina and has capacity enough to have filled either multiple or larger-sized medicine tubes.

Also included are four medicine recipe cards from the 1950's noting proprietary medicines from "BUTLERS" drug store establishment.

Offered is a fabulously ornate, 19th century antique, Apothecary Show Globe. Photos provide close-up views of this intricately detailed, high-end show globe, and the 1891 photo from the WHITALL TATUM COMPANY catalog establishes the age of this beauty.

The overall condition of the globe is very good with the imperfections and wear expected given its 130+ years of age. The decorative frame is sturdy and the globe can hold water with ease. At some point long ago, the metal components were painted a gold/brass color. Today, the paint retains a delightful brass tone with an antiqued patina.

The attention to detailing and design of the show globe frame is second to none, pushing this show globe into a class by itself. Note the intricacy and the elegance of design incorporated into both the show globe collar and the finial - simply outstanding!

The show globe measures 22 inches tall from the top of the crown to the tip of finial. The exterior of the hand blown glass globe is in good condition. The interior of the globe notes a modest yet common and unobtrusive haze which will not be visible when the globe is filled with the colored water of your choice. Additionally, the haziness should clean up if so desired.

Acquisition of this rarely found, beautiful and stunning show globe is a rare opportunity not to be missed!

Offered is a very difficult-to-find, large grouping of twenty one, 19th century, porcelain, matching apothecary cabinet drawer pulls, priced at $45 for each pull.

Each pull measures approximately 1.4"W x 1.3"H x 1" front to back (not including bolt). (Please note- "INULA HELEN" is sold.)

The condition of the pulls is very good with only a few minor manufacturing imperfections that add to the desired patina of an antique of this age and period. The decorative gold embellishments painted above and below the medicinal labeling of each pull show moderate loss, primarily "use-wear", due to decades of continual handling over their 140+ years of age. Please note that the "TEREBINT" pull has a rear chip as noted in the individual, close-up photo.

The pulls each sport the following maker's mark on the bottom of the knob: "PAT. FEB 12, 89 - M.D.B. CO. - ST. LOUIS, MO", although on some of the pulls, this marking has been illegibly applied.

Ready for display in your apothecary collection or for retro-chic decorating use on an actual cabinet, be it antique or contemporary!
