The toy is operated by pushing either side handle in a downward motion, which makes the words and pictures spin inside the toy. When the motion stops, four different spelling words with their accompanying pictures appear in the eight different windows.
Other than light surface blemishes due to age and gentle use, and the 4 missing tab covers which are supposed to keep the spelling words hidden, this vintage toy is in remarkable condition and makes a very colorful display piece!

This type of display would have been placed on the counter next to the checkout register with the gum and candy to entice little girls and boys to purchase a whistle!
The display box cover features a city policeman demonstrating the authentic and powerful amplitude of the whistles. The cover has a perforated seam that was unfastened when the box was displayed open so that the policeman and city skyline stood tall above the whistles.
Condition: Whistles are all original and complete, in excellent, mint condition. Display box is in near-mint condition; subtle edge wear as seen in photos, one small, partial seam separation at the base of the box cover, where the tab tucks into the box base for closure (see last photo).
Marked ALL AMERICAN PLASTIC WHISTLES with no other maker’s mark evident. A 70+ year old, very cool and colorful, stand-out, Baby Boomer Collectible!

Very colorful and expressive detailing of the cats! The cardboard covered-bottom is marked "Made in Germany" in the lower right. A tin frame supports the game, with a glass cover on the front side and a mirror on the reverse side.
In excellent condition considering its 110+ years of age. The glass cover is free of cracks. Game color is still quite bright. The original mirror has a few spots of silvering and light scratching but is free of cracks.
An interesting, vintage game piece to add to one's toy, dexterity game or Halloween collection!

When pulled by its string, the toy rolls along on its metal and rubber wheels, causing the jockey to raise and lower himself off of the horse as the horse makes a coordinated "jumping" motion as his front legs raise up slightly.
The toy is labeled "Loros Bros Ltd London England" within a small triangle that is painted on one side of the metal supporting rim (see photos). The horse and rider are constructed of wood and are affixed to the metal frame. The toy measures 11 inches tall when the rider is standing straight up and is 10.5 inches long.
Condition is quite fine given the toy's 80+ years of age. There are scrapes and minor wear to the paint here and there, the horse's tail is missing, and 2 newer nails in the horse's hind legs were added as reinforcement at some point. The toy is structurally sound, very colorful, and works quite well! It is simply adorable and displays beautifully!!

Measuring a slight 4" x 5", the brightly painted blocks are housed in a highly-detailed cardboard box featuring a colorful graphic of a young child playing with them. This toy was also used in the primary grade classrooms to help develop fine motor coordination and dexterity.
Condition is quite fine with the exception noted of 2 missing blocks.
