The historically-fascinating sheath label is in exquisite condition with minor edge wear noted to the sheath. The strap shows evidence of use and also remains in fine condition.
The 9.35 inch long strap was advertised for use in sharpening not only shaving razors, but also pen knives and surgical instruments!
A rare piece of early Barber Shop Memorabilia!
This fabulous beauty salon collectible comes with its original box, a bottle of “FABROL” lotion with original paper label, 4 metal rod CURLERS, 2 metal with wood handle DRYING TUBES, wires, and a group of curling papers. Looking at the apparatus in this kit, it is a wonder any woman was brave enough to perm her hair!!
The paper-covered cardboard box has wear and tear at seams and edges typical of a 80+ year old piece, but it displays wonderfully and sports a highly decorative label on the inner cover featuring the image of a lovely lass curling her hair.
From “Mons. Antoine Fabre – 11 Hills Place – Oxford Circus, London, W.”.
Dates to the early 1920s.
This neat sign measures 14 inches high by 11.5 inches wide, and the frame is approximately 16.5 x 12.5 inches.
The condition of the sign is good, noting clear, crisp lettering with light foxing, mild edge wear and a few tiny blemishes commensurate with age. The frame sports an old, light green, crackled and worn painted surface and pairs well with the barber's sign.
Found in Georgia outside of Savannah, this sign likely was the creation of a small town barber or his associate since it was less expensive to hand-craft a sign like this rather than to formerly commission the creation of one.
Ready to hang!
The cup is embossed with swirls, dots and bows as well as decorated further with gold-drawn designs and 2 large, hand-painted pink roses with 1 smaller cream-colored rose. The cup base is scalloped and the fancy handle is gold-gilded.
A very pretty piece!
Sold and used in the Frank F. Morgan & Sons Barber Sop housed in the famous Philadelphia department store, Wanamaker's!
While empty today, this bottle once contained a hair dressing or after shave solution composed of 58% alcohol! Quite the powerful spirit!
The bottle measures 8.5 inches tall, sports a ground glass stopper, and lovely label! The condition of the bottle is excellent and the label has minor, unobtrusive stains. Set on a sunny window sill, the stunning cobalt blue glass will make an impressive sight! An early bottle that displays beautifully!
